Is it a wire connection? Can the LED barn light be mounted to an existing standard metal rectangular box?

Sure. But the fixture base can't fully cover the standard rectangular box that needs an additional mounting plate. Note: The mounting plate has holes to align with the box, enabling installation.

Why do some LEDs light up weakly and others don't light up at all after wiring?

First, please ensure all wire nuts are tightly connected. Additionally, double-check that the live, neutral and ground wires are correctly connected. Incorrect wiring can cause some LEDs to glow faintly or not work at all.

How to correctly connect the wires?

Black Wire connect to Live Supply Wire

Green Wire connect to Ground Supply Wire

White Wire connect to Neutral Supply Wire

(Note: incorrect wiring connections will not work)

Do I need to pay attention to anything when installing the base?

Pay Attention to Screw Tightness: When tightening screws, be careful not to overdo it. Proper tightening prevents putting too much pressure which lowers the chance of base cracking.
